This publication conveys research to support a holistic hiring approach to recruitment of professional talent. Dual career couples are often challenged by uncertainty when an opportunity for advancement arises for one, leaving the spouse/partner to make hard decisions that can strongly derail their career track. Tech Valley Connect is a new concept designed to meet those dual career challenges by creating regional employer networks where local employers commit to high-level informational interviews for spouses – accelerating professional networks and providing opportunities for job placement. Additionally, the program provides community integration assisting newcomers in a way that helps them connect and take root in their new communities.
